HAWKE'S BAY
In Hawke's Bay, Hogan's Trail Boardwalk is a 3 km community boardwalk that follows the bank of the Torrent River. This trail offers wildlife and bird watching opportunities all summer long. The beachfront of the town is limestone pavement, a unique feature that is listed in the Newfoundland Geological Guide. There are many miles of gravel surfaced forest access roads originating from the town that are tailor made for dirt bikes, ATV's or mountain biking.

PORT SAUNDERS
The community of Port Saunders has an interesting Crow Head walking trail that follows the shoreline and a small model forest.

PORT AUX CHOIX
The community of Port Aux Choix has a walking trail that follows the tundra like areas. The many miles of beach offer many opportunities for beach-combing and twilight bonfires for shellfish cookouts. You can also visit the Maritime Archaic Indian Site.

The communities of this area are busy, but laid back. Walk about the area and stop to talk with the locals. They will gladly share time with you, giving you a better understanding of our culture, lifestyle and history.
